Description :
Growth Form: An evergreen shrub or small tree, able to grow up to about 7 m tall. Foliage: Leaves opposite, narrowly elliptic, measuring about 6 - 30 cm long by 1 - 7 cm wide, petiole measuring about 2 - 15 mm long, underside of leaf pubescent or woolly with white grey hairs.
Flowers: Tiny white fragrant flowers borne on slender panicles, inflorescence pubescent and either terminal or axillary, corolla white, stamens inserted near the throat, anthers measuring about 0.75 mm long and deeply 2-lobed at the base, ovary and style glabrous, style measuring about 1 mm long.
Fruits: Fruit is a brown capsule, ovate or oblong in shape, glabrous, flattened and measuring about 3 - 5 mm long by 2.5 - 3 mm wide. Seeds elliptic in shape, pale brown, short winged at both ends and measuring about 0.8 - 1 mm long by 0.3 - 0.4 mm wide.
Cultivation :
Plant require full sun to semi-shade. Moderate water is needed. Propagates by stem-cutting of air-layering.
