School History

Kranji Primary School was established as a Government co-educational school in 1997 to meet the needs of the growing population of young families in Choa Chu Kang New Town. The school was officially declared opened on 3 July 1999 by Mr Yeo Cheow Tong, then Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Member of Parliament for Hong Kah GRC.

In 2002, the school underwent PRIME to expand its facilities. In 2013, the school underwent PERI upgrading and began operating as a single session school.

In 2015, Kranji Primary School was accorded Learning for Life Programme in Developing Champions in Life through Sports. In 2018, Kranji Primary celebrated its 21st anniversary. In 2019, MOE Kindergarten @ Kranji started operation.
