School Rules & Regulations

1.     Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Students will                 take the Pledge with the right first placed over the heart.
2. Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.
3.     Students must sing the School Song and recite the Student's Creed.
4.    Students must be punctual for all activities.
5.    Students should always present themselves with decorum. 
Boys Girls
Hair
  • Short hair (evenly cropped)

  • No accessories

  • Only plain black and dark blue hair

6. Students are not allowed to leave the school without permission.
7.    Students must handle school property with care.
8.    Students must put on their best behavious at all times, even when they are out of school .
9.    Students must respect school authorities at all times.
10. Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones and electronic gadgets to school.
11.  Students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which is used or intended to be used to cause harm to others.
12. Students must abide by the school rules at all times. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who break the rules.
   

The ABCs of Good Conduct

A. Beginning of Lesson/Examination
  • Class mentor asks class to stand at attention.
  • When everyone is at attention, class mentor tells them to greet teacher “Good Morning------“
  • Teacher returns greeting and invites pupils to sit.
  • Pupils take out their books and listen attentively to the teacher.

B. End of Lesson
  • Class mentor asks class to stand at attention.
  • When everyone is standing at attention, class mentor tells class to say “Thank you---“
  • Pupils to wait for teacher to leave before sitting down.

C. Entering a class during lesson
  • Knock on the door and wait to be acknowledged.
  • Greet teacher.
  • Return to seat or relay message.
(Excuse me teacher, may I...? Thank you, teacher)

D. In the classroom
  • Respect all teachers at all times.
  • Observe discipline and orderliness in the classroom at all times.
  • Pay full attention to the teacher during lessons and hand in all assignments/homework on time.
  • Be polite and courteous to your teacher and classmates at all times.
  • Stand and greet your teacher at the start of the lesson and stand and thank the teacher at the end of the lesson. The class mentor is to give the appropriate commands. 
  • Stand when you answer a question directed at you by the teacher.
    You should wait for your turn or raise your hand if you want to ask a question or express an opinion or idea. 
    Do not leave the classroom without a valid reason. Permission for a toilet break/to leave the class during lesson must be obtained from the teacher.
